Record Keeping

Over time there may be a need to share information about your training to district officials, church leaders, or other individuals as you journey through the changing world of ministry. Keeping records will be important and can be simple. Establish a file or notebook to keep important records related to your training process, activities you do as a Lay Servant and other handy information.

Keep:

  • Copies of your certificates of completion from courses taken (in class or online).
  • Make sure you send a copy of any online confirmation received of completion to the District Office and/or the Lay Servant Ministries Director(s). Note on the form place of the training or keep copies of the brochures/flyers to refresh your memory as to name of course, place and date.
  • Copies of any letters or notifications about renewals
  • Copies of your report to the Annual Charge Conference.
  • Copies of anything required of you in the process.
